Exploring alternative careers for lawyers
Many of us question our commitment to the law at some stage in our careers. This may be a temporary or a more fundamental source of unease and anxiety. We work with many clients to explore their career choices and what really motivates them, to work out what they have to offer and challenge the common belief that 'I'm a lawyer - that's all I can do'. Once clarity has been achieved we can then assist in a very practical way in helping you devise a job search strategy to secure what you want.
Redundancy
Redundancy coaching support has been a key service for many clients recently - we understand the effects that redundancy can have on self-esteem and general wellbeing and have helped lawyers at all levels work their way back into new roles, either inside or outside the law with renewed self-confidence - even in poor market conditions.
Career progression
It is not uncommon for even the most able of lawyers to need assistance in developing their full potential within the law - we understand that if you are finding your legal career unrewarding, or are failing to achieve your career goals, career coaching can help identify barriers (for example, lack of confidence or poor work/life balance) which may be holding you back. facing retirement issues. Partners are retiring at an increasingly early age, and it is important to be prepared for a sudden lifestyle change and, in many cases, a significant shock to the system. We work with senior lawyers with retirement in mind - after a long and busy career, working out what will make you fulfilled in the remaining 20 or more years of active life can be challenging. We offer retirement coaching to help you reflect, to explore options, to gather good information about opportunities and devise a successful transition strategy.

Whether you are returning to your career after maternity leave, illness or a career break, we understand that you may have anxieties about how you will cope once you are back at work, particularly in the current economic environment.
